-DESCRIPTION

Captain Livus is a rather simplistic man and modest in his form of attire, in comparison to the many more flamboyant and less astute people around in the world, whom display flamboyant boisterous threads that scream out their wealth, dedication, affluence and whichever standing they portray. Though it would be hard to mistake Livus for one to actually be in fact modest despite his garments being otherwise. Rather they simple reason they are worn, is because he is a cheapskate that doesn't want clothing that shows stains, dirt or whichever mess that forms on the black, whereas khaki is less considered for economical reasons, and more of a personal preference of a color. The khaki is his turtle neck sweater he wears underneath his oversuit, and often when worn alone, he would roll up the sleeves up to mid-forearms by default, unless he explicitly doesn't fall under this habit otherwise.

His hands have leather gloves that hug his skin worn often, mostly for sanitary reasons, as it happens to be water-proof, happens to be black. His scalp has a visor cap worn, with a symbol of his infamous crest back in his day. The crest that used to denote the Slasher Fleet (despite said 'fleet' consisted of one large airship.) One that can be recognized by those that used to live two decades before, but otherwise it has fallen into a relative obscurity as many other terrors of the air have. All restrained to the history books to be nothing more than antiquity, as the current Sky Pirate fleet had become a marvel which blots out Livus's own achievements.

His skin is rather white, nothing pale or nothing tanned. Merely average. His eyes are blue, and he speaks with an Aenian accent (British accent). He stands about 6' 3" feet tall, and is rather well built despite the years that took its toll in consistent warfare, with scars to account for his rather clumsier years he had earlier in his life when he was far younger. He is a cyclops by all extents, with an eye missing, and an eyepatch that covers it, whereas his only remaining eye has a damaged outlying area, scarred horribly on the face.

-PRIMARY WEAPONS

Sword of Dawn - A magical weapon which cannot be harnessed magically due to the lacking of magik in Livus. Otherwise, just a sharp Falchion. Worn in a scabbard hanging from his left waist, attached to his belt.

-SECONDARY WEAPONS

Grace - A semi-automatic pistol valued for its accuracy and rate-of-fire. Where he holsters it tends to vary, and he carries two.

-SKILLS

- Captain Livus boasts a very keen eye and a lightning fast reaction, a compensation he had to go for with the inclusion of a missing optic.
- His shots are sure as he is renowned as a masterfully aimed gunslinger, capable of making quick draws in the blink of the eye with proficient aiming.
- Livus's skills with the sword is proficient and expert at hand, as he is experienced in swashbuckling in his career as a corsair of the skies.
- His senses are sharp, as he isn't very overly reliant on his vision as most humans are, due to the handicap, he had to tune up his hearing, sense of smell, touch in general to be as sensitive as a blind man's.
- He has a superhuman stamina, in regards to how much punishment he took over a lifetime, how he has lasted to the astonishment of his enemies he fought, as well as how he has kept up his stamina with almost no problem, whereas any lesser men and women had fallen tired to over-exertion with fatigue. Livus proved otherwise.
- He has a great knowledge of the world all across, from the fringes of civilizations all the way to the inner working of politics, given his time spent in the world, as well as his less than savory activities.

-WEAKNESSES

- Has one eye, therefore has a blindspot from where the eyepatch is worn.
- Reputation may precede him with those old enough to have witnessed his tyranny two decades ago, inviting negative repercussions to victims and lawful citizens.
- Is usually in debt to a crime lord, to a loan shark, to a bank, all the way even to a royal princess of a household.
- Has terrible financial skills, what money comes to him, tends to be spent up that moment and he finds himself near poverty in a lot of cases, turning to crime for a quick profit.
- Blatant disregard for the lives of allies when they need him most, as well as his rather callous ways tend to make him out to be a terrible leader, aloof in most cases, and even inconsiderate of losses, having no notion of terrible odds when it comes to leadership, especially when it involves casualties and logistics.
- Suffers from sociopathy, and therefore has a very hard time connecting with someone with empathy due to a severe lacking in it. Not that he even tries to either ways.

-COMBAT STYLE

Captain Livus's combat style isn't something exactly restrained to any fancy theatrics unless he felt it upon a whim to do so, rather it cuts straight to the point. As in skipping the whole martial arts deals many obsess over, with boxing, martial prowess and whatnot with merely the instincts and his own knowledge on what inflicts the most damage. He lacks the means to incapacitate someone, at least with weapons, as in his entirety of pirating career, it consisted of killing people no regards towards life, and always the means to end it. Not that he would be incapable without weapons, as he has had his fancy share of tavern brawling to hone how to punch someone out good. But in the best summed words, Livus is flexible when it comes to combat, and tends to make liberal use of his environment. Though he adheres closely to his firearms, and focuses more unto shooting someone full of lead than cutting them up into ribbons. After all, he is rarely thrilled by the many thralls of combat, as they do not delight him as they used to in the past, where he used to have many more stakes and fortunes to be won. They just became... BORING. Him always living and them always dying, some ran off, some draws, and those draws always fascinated him most. Whereas his losses were always an interval for revenge.

-PERSONALITY

Captain Livus can be known to adhere to some strange and mysterious set of ethics and morals, which blatantly is to be immoral in the name of profit, and elevating into a higher position of whatever it is he wants. Usually a slave to his whims, as he acts upon impulse intermixed with his own special breed of logic. A logic which usually involves causing more problems in the name of fixing another problem, by wronging a wrong, and hiding said problem as his modus operandi. Which when seen in hindsight, DOESN'T fix ANYTHING, only makes it more troublesome, as his answer to many of life's many problems is usually with overly complicated planning nobody gets, or sometimes no planning at all. In either cases, this has earned him the ire of many people, especially due to his unapologetic nature that he finds no regrets for many things he has done.

A sociopath that doesn't lament any horrors he inflicted when he used to be a Sky Pirate. When asked of it, he would remark he would do it again, all for the sake of being true to himself, and honest in a world where it isn't judged by deception, but rather a relationship between him and it as predator and prey. Following a great call to the great hunt, where one is his quarry or isn't his quarry. Admiring the honesty in it, for there are no words to it, merely the thrill of the hunt, an endowed quality he possesses to see things in absolutes, and refusing to acknowledge a grey in between it. There are no allies to him, merely those that aren't his prey. And when it comes to those that hunt him, he sees it more of a predator and predator where the prey is the dead one. Henceforth he faces an eternal struggle he gladly partakes in, for how else would he live in a world where his only greatest quality, is to end another's life?

Desensitized to many of the horrific aspects of the worse in human nature, as he himself is such a creature, Livus conducts himself strangely and inappropriately. An eccentric man of enigmatic persuasion, whom merely walks the walk in the long flow of life. A complicated creature as many humans tend to be, and he is no different, always subject to variations from what he established, but more so than usual to mark him a hypocrite in many ways.

-HISTORY

Long ago, there was a priest in the Aenian Empire, of the Ecclesiastical order of dawn. One where they would often embark upon quests towards doing chivalry duties as paladins, doing good and bestowing such blessings with magic unto the populace. Trying to preach back faith and piety into an otherwise indifferent population of Roarkton town. Those that have taken to a lax attitude when it comes to worldly affairs, apathetic to crime that happens right around them, as well as a lack of ethics as the town was overrun with disease rife with a lack of commitment to many things. It was a horrible thing. One member, Cleric Livus, wished to change that.

For many days, he spent bringing the town to some sort of ethics, something to conduct themselves in a way of life. Not the morally lacking lifestyle they dance to the tunes to. But his preaching fell on deaf ears, they laughed at him no matter what he did, beating him up to buzz him off and going back into drinking. He was too frail to fight back, and his teachings taught him to take it no matter what. Violence was not his way. It never was. He was a man of peace and tranquility, not a violent barbarian like they. Though eventually for his efforts, he was recognized by the Ecclesiastic order to be worthy of serving as a herald towards the sword of dawn.

Spending many days envying and eyeing the wonderfully made piece that was thought to be cursed, a weapon of magic that thirsted for blood. One forged by the throng of hot steel, and the coals of bones. It was empty and void in existence, always filling its emptiness with the death of others, for a moment of life, a moment to feel, a salvation at the expense of others. An evil weapon. Those that became one with it, were locked in an eternity of battle within a pocket realm that dwells within the weapon. Thousands of souls eternally battling, never dying, always degrading from the tides of time.

These thoughts made the priest shiver from the weapon, yet just as his thoughts sunk into further contemplation, it was interrupted by the rumbling of his temple, shaking from artillery, that shook it, killing many priests. The paladins fought with magic against technology, yet for their destructive ways, exploding several fragments of a giant monolith of a ship, it hadn't stopped the floating behemoth from advancing towards the temple. One laden in gold, rich and shining brilliantly of wealth. They were pirates. Priest Livus ran ahead to see them, only as his heart grew faint with fear, knowing that he had no way of fighting them. Not when the Silver Giraffe, an airship of infamy had set its vast gaze on the temple. Bombarding the defenses down until the roof lay ripe with exposure. Ropes rained down with pirates with it. The Captain with his men had come across the temple, shooting many paladins and hacking them down with sheer numbers. Yet it was the Captain's greed that he set his eyes on the sword of dawn.

It shimmered lustfully for him, longing for him, yet he would not be anything but an impotent user to the weapon. For he has no grasp of magic, thus it would be nothing more than an ordinary yet sharp sword. He would reach out for it, only for the priest Livus to pull it out. Challenging him to a bout of swordsmanship, despite an inherent lack of it. Desperately knocking the pirate Captain's pistol out of his hand, which he would have inclined to fire without a care for challenge, yet with the lacking of armaments, he pulled out his own cutlass. Dominating the battle with mighty swings, bringing the priest several times to his knees with every mighty overhead strike. It was the trauma of the battle that awakened the power of the sword, as it extended forth like the branches of the tree, snapping his cutlass in half despite the durable quality, stabbing the Captain square in his eye, depriving him of half a sight.

In his rage, he kicks the priest and impales him to the breast with his broken cutlass. Captain Livus looked down at the priest, unaware of the priest's name, which oddly is also Livus. Cursing the bastard as he decapitated the corpse, and mounts the head unto a pike outside the temple in revenge. Taking with him the cursed weapon as a trophy and his own personal choice of a weapon, only for it to revert back into nothing more than a normal sword. He went back into the Silver Giraffe, tending to his wound on his face, the loss of his eye a handicap he hated.

This was one of the many raids that took place in the Aenian Empire. Where he had grown to be a horror upon the place, his ruthlessness and cruelty even worse than any pirates in the area. Pillaging, razing and violating the land's many populations in excess. His crew bloodthirsty for it, just as the Captain was. Christened by the land to be the Cyclops of the North. Yet for his glories, he grew greedy, too greedy to pay his crew their rightful dues. It made everyone discontent, but they figured their Captain had a plan, or was saving up for a great reward, or something. They were all rich and all with the loot he split, but over time, their wealth dwindled, and so did their patience.

A concerned first mate, the sweetheart of the crew, she went up to the Captain Livus to ask him for their owed pay. The Captain responds in his paranoia by blowing a hole through her stomach, kicking her off his cabin as she laid limp and dead for all to see. The crew had begun a mutiny against the treasonous Captain, where a great battle took place in a narrow hold, where only one at a time may face him. Firing and killing many of them with his pistol, and when his bullets ran out, he would hack them down like a maniac. It was at the same time, nobody was steering the ship to avert its way into sinking into the sea. For a stray shot had shaken the height controls as to send it falling down towards the sea filled with monsters. The fight hadn't stopped in spite of the peril that awaited them. The crew warned the Captain, even offered a peaceful truce, but he hadn't stopped, hacking down traitorous "mutineers" for their part in rebellion with no mercy. Their love of the Captain died out that night as they lost respect for him.

A hit clocked him from behind his head, as only their former love of him had spared his life, as he was taken to the brig in the hold. The ship floated on the water thankfully... but from what accounts of witnesses at the distant shore would say, an explosion followed in the ship, splitting it in half and sinking it into the bottom of the sea. The many gold spilled into the ocean, as the monsters circled to devour the hundreds of lives. Dyeing the water in the crimson of blood. It was a finer feast for them had they any. The Captain himself was thought to have died, as only rumors and fringe gossips explain he survived that night to swim away into the safety of the shore, giving honeyed promises to an ugly fat mermaid with fabricated tales of him "a prince of a distant land, with riches vast, and loins hot for her." Naturally, to thank her, he stabbed her in the face with his cursed weapon and ran off into land.

That was many years ago, over the time, he did many various things. Not a Captain anymore, but a hired gun. Killing was his trade, and he flourished for it. Yet finance was his weakness, and he suffered in poverty. Wandering from tavern to tavern with nothing much to do, but wait for something to do. Otherwise he invents a habit and sinks into it. Coming across the occasional adventure or two, including his hobby of hunting, as his reputation soon dwindled into tales to those that refused to acknowledge his authenticity due to some audacious stories told.

Currently, he is on the search for his favorite tobacco pipe that was stolen by a mysterious organization's enforcer. Some bastard took it off of him while he was dozing off with it, and he caught a glimpse of him. One he wishes to repay in kind. Not to mention an escape from many overzealous ex-wife that wants him to pay an alimony for the many spawns he left behind. Indeed! A worthy quest for a bachelor if anything.

Sorry for the knitpicking, but I'm sure you'll understand:

    1) Combat style is only 165 words long (minimum is 200). Add in another 35 words and you'll be good.
    2) Your custom rank is just too long. Maximum is 19 characters. Is there something else I can change it to?
    3) The Silver Giraffe is an imposing name for a pirate ship. Almost too imposing... But don't change it.

You're pretty fine. Just mind the points above, and then I'll get you set up.
